Bentley Systems, Incorporated, the infrastructure engineering software company, announced that its Seequent business unit has acquired Advanced Resources and Risk Technology (AR2Tech), a developer of geostatistical software applications based in Denver, United States.
The acquisition provides Seequent with cutting-edge geostatistical algorithms, technology and intellectual property for solving complex geospatial problems, in addition to its geological modeling solutions and workflows, to help solve challenges related to the land, environment and resources.
Its state-of-the-art, high-performance algorithms and workflows for cloud and desktop computers allow users to create and optimize a diverse set of models, even with millions of cells, without performance bottlenecks .
AR2Tech’s library of algorithms can be applied to a wide range of geostatistical modeling and data science methods, supporting data-centric functions and powered by machine learning. Solutions can be used on their own or integrated with other software, including Seequent’s Leapfrog 3D geological modeling solutions.
Mining companies use AR2Tech’s solutions for geostatistical modeling for conditional simulation and complex deposit estimation models, with custom algorithms for specific deposits.
Environmental science professionals use custom workflows for data management, spatial assessment, and risk assessment, designed for applications such as stochastic subsoil simulation for water modeling, evaluation and sampling strategy, integration of remote sensing data into the geostatistical model and characterization of pollutants.
