Huawei Mate X seizes December 2021 HarmonyOS software update


Today, Huawei officially announced that the HarmonyOS 2 operating system has completed the rollout of all eligible devices in China. These devices fall into different categories including smartphones, tablets and smart TVs, which is a milestone for the Chinese tech maker.

According to reports, Huawei has completed the deployment of HarmonyOS for more than 100 models of various products, including Huawei Mate 40, Mate 30, Mate 20, Mate 10, P40, P30 and P20 series. These are not only new phones, but also some of the veteran flagships including Mate 9 and P10 have also been included in the HarmonyOS 2.0 upgrade roadmap.

To go beyond the range, the company also launched HarmonyOS on Honor brand products. These are the models that were launched before the mega split between the two former partners in November of last year.

However, one thing to note is that Huawei has selected some of the additional models that are still experiencing beta activity and will receive the final rollout very soon.

HarmonyOS 2.0:

Released on June 2, 2021, HarmonyOS 2.0 is the first operating system designed for smartphones, especially for Huawei devices. However, later it was advertised as open source and donated to the open atom foundation.

In terms of features, HarmonyOS 2.0 comes with a brand new user interface, gravity-based animation effects, and better icons designed to improve your overall user experience. On the other hand, you will get new features like app snippets, control panel, awesome device, service widgets, etc.

HarmonyOS deployment completed

The backward compatibility of HarmonyOS 2.0 is a big plus and it fills the enthusiasm of consumers. Therefore, former Huawei smartphone consumers want to switch to the latter operating system, further increase its reach and contribute to fast installations.

As Huawei revealed, HarmonyOS 2.0 was installed on more than 150 million devices a month ago, and the company expects that figure to reach 200 million by the end of this year.

Still, HarmonyOS 2.0 has remained elusive to Chinese consumers, and the company has not revealed its intention to bring it to the global market. Meanwhile, a senior company official is said to have said that the HarmonyOS mobile operating system could in 2022 for global consumers.
