OnePlus releases new OxygenOS update for North India smartphone

OnePlus has started releasing its OxygenOS update for the original North smartphone in India, Europe and North America.

According to the changelog, the firmware fixes the low probability call forwarding failure issue, improves system stability, and fixes some general bugs.

It also increases the level of the Android security patch until November 2021.

All about the update

The latest OxygenOS update for the North India smartphone carries the version number and weighs 376MB. The deployment of OTA is gradual, i.e. only a small percentage of users will receive it first, followed by a larger version.

Why is this story important?

OnePlus Nord’s latest update is based on the Android 11 operating system, while the company has now started testing and releasing Android 12 for its devices.

Before downloading the update, OnePlus advised Nord users to keep at least 3GB of free storage and 30% battery.

As for its specs, the OnePlus Nord features a capsule-shaped cutout, slim bezels, and a built-in fingerprint reader. On the back it has a quadruple camera unit.

The handset is equipped with a 6.44-inch Full-HD + (1080×2400 pixels) Fluid AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and HDR10 + support.

The OnePlus Nord has four rear cameras, including a 48MP (f / 1.8) main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide snapper (f / 2.3), a 5MP depth lens (f / 2.4), and a 2MP macro. (f / 2.4) sensor. Up front, it has a 32 MP (f / 2.5) main sensor and an 8 MP (f / 2.5) ultra-wide lens.

The OnePlus Nord is powered by a Snapdragon 765G chipset, combined with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage.

Under the hood, it runs on Android 11-based OxygenOS 11 and houses a 4,115mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging.

In terms of connectivity, the device supports dual band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC and a Type C port.
