Samsung Galaxy S21 FE gets its first software update in the US

The Galaxy S21 FE was announced earlier this month at CES 2022. Three days ago, the smartphone began receiving the January 2022 security update in select Asian markets. Now, this security update has reached the Galaxy S21 FE in the US, making it the first software update for the phone.

Latest Software Update For Unlocked Variant Of Galaxy S21 FE Comes With Firmware Version G990U1UEU2BUL8 in the USA. It includes the January 2022 security patch to fix dozens of privacy and security vulnerabilities. The update is rolling out to nearly all carrier networks, including AT&T, Bluegrass Cellular, Comcast, C-Spire, Tracfone, T-Mobile, Verizon, and Xfinity Mobile.

If you are a Galaxy S21 FE user in the US, you can check for the new software update by going to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.

Samsung launched the Galaxy S21 FE with Android 12 on board. It will receive three major updates to the Android operating system, which means that it is good until Android 15. The smartphone will also receive security patches for up to four years from its release.
