A free software update promises a wide range of new features for every Porsche Taycan ever made, including wireless Android Auto, improved efficiency and better assisted parking.

Available as a free upgrade at Porsche Centers, the update brings model year 2023 features to every Taycan model and configuration from 2019. Although the new software is not available via an OTA (over the air) update, as with some other electric vehicles, Porsche is offering the upgrade for free. Taycan owners need only schedule an appointment at their local Porsche Center to have the work done. During their stay, they can also have the optional 22 kW on-board AC charger installed, at their own expense. This was previously only available as an option when buying the car new.
